Boho Minnetonka Glam Look

Here I am wearing my knee high Minnetonka's (which are for sale on my IG, btw! Size 8), black leggings from Forever 21, a tan asymmetrical fringe cardigan from Body Central, and tan scoop neck blouse from SteinMart. I believe my necklace is from Delia's. I cannot remember because it is a few years old.

I will be posting an article tomorrow about how I reached 2,000 Instagram followers. This might be useful to some, as it was a topic I researched when I started becoming interested in growing my IG audience. I am sure there are many ways to reach 2,000 or more followers, but I want to share what I did to increase my followers.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far! If you haven't seen my updates on my YouTube channel, I plan on merging my fashion and jewelry blogs very soon. I want to change over to Wordpress and have my own domain name. My blog name will likely change, as well. I would like to bring everything to one place, instead of spreading myself too thin. It can be difficult keeping track of so many things, as I am sure many of you understand.

Also, if you didn't see my post about the tie giveaway, head over to Tie Cargo and use the coupon code "tiezero" to receive a free name-brand tie.

A Little Bit Cowgirl Outfit Look

I wore this outfit this time last week. I am wearing heeled Soda cowgirl-style boots. I cannot recall where I bought the boots, but you can find the same pair on Amazon. My olive pants are from Forever 21. I found the front tie shirt at Steinmart. My jean blazer is Ralph Lauren the boyfriend found for me.

If any of you follow my Instagram, you would have seen that I am sharing pictures from my trip to New York City last year. I had so much fun visiting NYC. It was my first time vacationing in NYC. It is one of the coolest places I have ever been to so far. Gossip Girl is one of my favorite shows of all time, and I was just starting to read the books when I went to NYC. It was so awesome, because I was able to visit a few of the places from the show.

Make sure you look me up on Instagram @dressdynamicdallas to see some of the cool things I saw on my trip to NYC, and much much more.

Casual Mod Dots and Stripes Dapper Outfit

Today I am wearing my Madden Girl sneakers from 6PM, Forever 21 polka dot jeans, a black and white striped shirt from Steinmart, and a vintage purple blazer given to me from the boyfriend's Grammie.

     Enjoy!

Throw on a Cardigan and Mod Polka Dots

Adding layers to this adorable outfit because it's a bit chilly and cloudy lately. My red cardigan and polka dot sweater are from Forever 21, bottoms are from Tommy Hilfiger, and the booties are from Marshall's.

School starts next Tuesday. It should be my last semester in college. This whole thing came together kind of goofy, because I moved around the country and transferred schools. But as I feel everything happens for a reason, I am just happy to be the first in my family to graduate college with a bachelor's degree. I am a nontraditional-type student paying for my own schooling, so it has taken me a little longer to get here. It's hard to say if my classes will fall in line since I live in Dallas, and my university is over an hour away. Gas isn't cheap! I've been an online student, but there is a chance I can only graduate if I take one of my required courses at the school. I'm nervous about what will happen. I have been praying, and already I was able to get in one more online course that had one spot left. There is still plenty of time, so anything can happen.

     Pray for me!

Julep Nail Polish Giveaway

I am giving away a bottle of Julep nail polish (Maryam) to a random individual (world-wide) on Tuesday, January 13th at 12pm Central Time. The requirements are to follow me on Instagram, Bloglovin and Google+. All three are on my blog. I will announce the winner by the end of the day on Tuesday.

     Best to you all!

2014 Preppy Outfit Idea

I wore this outfit last fall 2014. My shoes are B.O.C. clog/mules from a consignment store. I bought the blue pinstripe pants from Stein Mart. The white and blue top is Tommy Hilfiger from the Tommy store in NYC. My blue navy sweater is from Forever 21

Friday's Winter Outfit Idea

Today I wore olive pants and knee high boots from Forever 21. My green 3/4 sleeve sweater was a gift from my mother several Christmas's ago. I believe my chartreuse top is from Forever 21, as well. The necklaces were also a gift from my mother. It's hard to tell, but the one in the image has brass leaves all around it.

Pink & Oxblood Dot Mani Tutorial

Start this mani by applying a clear top coat. Then use a light pink nail polish and apply two coats. I used Julep nail polish. You can use a dotter or a toothpick to make the oxblood dots. I used a dotter. Just put a few drops of nail polish onto a piece of paper or something you will throw away, and then use your dotting tool to create a dot near the tip and in the center of each nail. Finish with a clear, fast dry, top coat.

Fall 2014 Street Style Outfit

Here I am wearing black weave Madden Girl sneakers from 6PM, and black skinny pants from Nordstrom's. My denim top is from Love Culture. I will post a blog article on how to get me manicure.

Thursday's Winter Outfit Idea

I wore my Tommy Hilfiger ankle zip pants today with a Polo by Ralph Lauren sweater my boyfriend found thrifting. My boots are Steve Madden from Marshall's. I am also wearing a purple long sleeve shirt underneath my sweater, which is sticking out.

I am currently in the process of looking for a new place to live. Our lease is almost over, and I think it would be best if we looked for a new place to live, as our building is rather old, and it goes through a large amount of electricity compared to most places. I am excited for the new, but this might also influence my decision to finish school this semester. There are limitations on the classes I can take as an online student, and so far I was unable to find all online classes. If things don't change in the next week, I will be taking the spring semester off to focus on work and my fashion blog.

January Julep Maven Box

I have been a Julep Maven for about a year and a half now. Since they are a fairly new company, it has been exciting watching Julep grow and develop new ideas. Some of the best part has been the inclusion in their progress, and trying new products.

This month I am getting a few late Christmas presents, and my Julep box is one of them. Every three months or so you can earn enough reward points to get a free Julep box. I got everything in the picture above for free!

You don't have to get just nail polish. Julep has incorporated many new options so you never get bored of getting a few nail polishes every month. This month I got an extra item (on the far right) because it was a special promotion for Mavens. I also got a yummy treat of Junior Mints, which the boyfriend found.

Let me know if you are a Maven, or if you have any other subscription boxes. I have a few others I will discuss in the future. Have a good night!

Wednesday's Winter Outfit

Today I wore black skinny pants from Nordstrom's with boho embroidered boots I think I found on Pink Basis. My sweater is Polo by Ralph Lauren, and the boyfriend found it while thrifting. I wore a denim-style shirt under it, but you could mostly only see it at the collar.

We're well into the New Year, and I am pleased with my progress. I hope to continue to update as much as I have in the past few weeks. It makes me excited to share new outfits I style, and share bits of my life. Feel free to share yours with me. Find me @dressdynamicdallas on Instagram.

2014 Fall Recap Outfit

I am wearing an ivory top and olive skinny pants from Forever 21. My necklace is from Body Central. I am also wearing camel booties. You can wear the top either tucked in the front and loose in the back, or loose all over like I have here in this photo.

This outfit is a fall inspired outfit you could still wear in the winter with a faux fur vest. You could also wear cute winter socks and roll them above the booties. I love how comfortable this outfit is.

Galaxy Nails Tutorial

I love the galaxy trend. It is so cool, and the unknown of the outer space is captivating. Not to mention the colors of all that goes on up in that big sky above.

I started with a clear coat of nail polish. I then applied one coat of black nail polish. I applied a butterfly color that looked blue, then, purple or green or orange, depending on the angle and the light. After that I applied a glitter polish with a gold shimmer and glitter of all sizes. If you are having troubles getting big chunks of glitter on your nails, apply a second a coat. Finish with a fast dry top coat.

If you live in the Dallas area, you may or may not have felt the earthquake today. I am originally from Wisconsin, and lived out west in Colorado and Idaho for some time of my life, and I have never felt anything so bizarre. It's an eery and spooky feeling when the ground shudders and shakes below and around you. The earthquake was little, but startling nonetheless. I was sitting on the ground at the time, so it felt distinct. Let me know if you have ever felt an earthquake.

Fall 2014 Outfit Idea 2

I am wearing camel booties from a shoe store I cannot recall. My black skinny pants are from Nordstrom's, and my denim top is from Love Culture. The chartreuse cardigan is from Forever 21. This is a very comfortable outfit, and I would say it was on the hipster-side of my fashion taste.

I finally got a new laptop. It's a work laptop, and I am very pleased with the speed, and the simplicity of the programs already on it. I only need to be able to do so many things, so it was nice to start over. And I will be cleaning up my other laptop, then passing it on to my sister who could use one. Also, one more week until my braces come off. Woohoo!

Sunday Outfit Idea

Today I went to church and chose to wear these gray pleated pants and floral top from Forever 21. My shoes are from Ruche. I wore the shirt tucked into the pants in the front and loose in the back.

I have been going to Watermark church in Dallas, although I am not a member yet. I only recently started looking for a church in Dallas, and I really enjoy my experiences at Watermark. I believe it is also televised, and they just opened a Plano church, as they are growing. Yay! I am engaged the whole time and lose track of the time during the services. There are also many service times to choose from.

I still have not purchased a laptop. This week I should have one at some time. I realized it is not very difficult writing blog posts from my new phone. I love blogging, so I am excited to keep writing and styling.

Lace Detail Side Zip Moto Jacket Outfit

     Happy Saturday!

I'm wearing a lace detail side zip moto jacket from Body Central. My top is from Forever 21. The pants are from Nordstrom's. My knee high boots are also from Forever 21.

This was such an effortless and affordable outfit. It is comfortable and warm for this chilly weather in Dallas. I hope y'all enjoyed it.

Bold French Manicure Tutorial

I have seen this French manicure in many variations, and I thought this color combo with my outfit colors look so chic. It was so simple, and I look forward to trying this nail design again in different color combinations. I'm excited to share this tutorial with y'all.

I first applied a clear coat. Then I applied two coats of a silver color I got from Julep. For the next part, I did this free hand, but I know some people use stickers or scotch tape. I used a navy blue for the tips, and only needed one coat. Finish with a fast dry top coat.

Share your manis with me on Instagram @dressdynamicdallas.

Layered Necklaces Look

I was really excited the day I wore this outfit because a woman in my office building said my outfit was Pinterest-worthy. It was a very nice compliment and exactly what I needed to hear. I watch a lot of Gossip Girl, and I did get inspired by it for this look. I am wearing a long strand of faux pearls with a faux rhinestone necklace from Body Central, and my key necklace from the Open Heart collection at Kay Jewelers. My rings are also from Body Central. I did not get a picture of the whole outfit, but I wore a blue skater skirt from F.I.G. with black tights and top from Forever 21.

I hope you enjoyed this outfit post. Share yours with me on Instagram @dressdynamicdallas. Also, #dressdynamicdallas.

Polaroid Spirit Inspired Nail Tutorial

I bought this Polaroid camera on Etsy a few years ago as a prop, and today I finally used it. One day I might use this camera to take pictures, but the film is fairly expensive. In the meantime, I painted these pretty rainbow nails similar to the colors on the Polaroid Spirit camera, and created this fun image.

I used a hot pink color from Forever 21 on my pinky nail. The following fingers were painted orange, yellow, sparkly lime green, and sparkly dark blue from Julep. Make sure to start with a clear base coat, and apply two coats of each color. Finish with a fast dry clear top coat.

I hope you had a bright and cheerful day!
