Polyvore Fashion Practice

I signed up for Polyvore about a year ago, but it wasn't until I started this blog that I actually used my account. Now I have to say I'm a bit obsessed. I didn't know there were contests to enter and win prizes like Visa gift cards, iphone cases, etc. It's alluring. Within my first few days of creating outfits, I already had a few hundred viewers, which I found impressive. I posted on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, blogger, We Heart it, and Pinterest. Now, since the 17th when I started dreaming up outfits, I have almost 5,000 viewers.

I've submitted a few sets into contests. I'm not sure when I find out who won, but there should be an email announcement. I felt encouraged when I looked at other individuals on Polyvore and realized how many people have won prizes. There was an incentive to join, but I want to see how my creations rank up to others. Even if I don't win right away, I will only improve with time. It can be very time consuming, but I think it will be worth it if I win contests or place in the upper three.

I was also curious how items get on Polyvore, and I discovered a Clip to Polyvore link. It allows you to clip items from you bookmarks bar and automatically add to your liked items list. I enjoy browsing for designers I find in my fashion magazines, so this concept is very useful. I don't always want to use items I find on Polyvore and discovering new fashion is desire of mine. This is all very new to me, but has become a favorite past-time.

If anyone is interested in finding me on Polyvore, my link is at Dress Dynamic

xoxo,

Stephanie
